WiredRed Software Licenses e/pop Web Conferencing to
DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc.

e/pop Web Conferencing’s state-of-the art video feature to help dissolve geographical
boundaries for DefenseWeb’s military customers and their friends and families

San Diego, California – October 4, 2005 – WiredRed®, a technology leader in real-time communications software, today announced that DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc. has licensed e/pop Web Conferencing for use in the communication support programs and services it provides to Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. e/pop Web Conferencing provides a comprehensive set of features for fully interactive sessions that includes multi-party video, VoIP, plus complete desktop, application/document and dynamic presentation sharing. In addition, users can send Outlook Calendar invitations allowing participants to confirm scheduled conferences and join directly from links in their Outlook calendar.

DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc., an Application Service Provider (ASP) based in San Diego, California, provides customized enterprise software development services for Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. One of the services it offers to customers is a support program that allows families and friends to stay in touch with Army personnel deployed and stationed overseas. DefenseWeb decided to seek a web-based conferencing solution that would allow soldiers to communicate with family and friends in real-time via video and VoIP using industry-standard web cameras on standard Internet connections.

“We researched the web conferencing market and made the decision to utilize WiredRed’s e/pop functionality based on its ability to scale quickly, the comprehensive feature set and reliability of the software,” said Tonya Bowers, Army Program Manager at DefenseWeb. “WiredRed’s support in helping us to customize e/pop to fit our customer’s needs has been outstanding.”

There were several reasons that DefenseWeb chose e/pop Web Conferencing over similar products from the competition, including WiredRed’s longevity in the Real-Time Communications market and e/pop’s flexible automated configuration options that allow all users to communicate regardless of bandwidth and connection speed.

“This is an ideal application for e/pop Web Conferencing, which we designed to be extremely easy to use for everyone,” said Steven Peltier, WiredRed’s CEO. “We are pleased that DefenseWeb decided to include e/pop Web Conferencing in their communication support program and couldn’t be happier that it will be used to bring friends, family and their loved ones deployed overseas closer together.”
